Karen McKenzie-Alexander completed her Bachelor’s degrees in 2006 at Oregon State University. After having worked in higher education for a number of years, she began her counseling career as a Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor in Oregon, earning her certification in 2015 and working as a co-occurring intensive outpatient counselor while completing her Master’s degree in mental health counseling. Since having transitioned into her career as a mental health therapist, she has worked in community mental health, as well as having a private practice in the greater Seattle area. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate and Chemical Dependency Professional Trainee in the State of Washington. She has a passion for learning new things both personally and professionally, and she enjoys hiking, biking, yoga, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
